"Never say never! I said I would never tell stories in front of anybody." Now Gayleen performs regularly with the Guild on Tuesday evenings.

Prior to turning her talents to storytelling, she was a supporting member of the guild which she joined in 1994. She tells Original and Historical stories and prefers to tell to a mixed age audience. Gayleen has performed in churches and at the "TAPPS: A Reunion Festival"in Nashville TN and at the open mike at the "Crab Orchard Festival" in Tazewell VA, in "Caitlin's Assignment" and "Tellabration". Gayleen is willing to share her vocal talents in churches and in nursing homes.

Along with performing at these festivals she has lent her beautiful singing voice to several guild functions. She is also a member of "TAPPS" (Tennessee Association for the Preservation and Perpetuation of Storytelling).
