Jim tells educational, historical, and humorous narratives & poems.

Jim Kevin spent four decades in service-related professions (military, ministry, and education). Born on the Oklahoma prairie at the end of the Great Depression, he went to sea for ten years to get the dust out of his system, then entered the ministry out West. His assignments ranged from the jungles of Mexico through inner city Los Angeles to the glaciers of Alaska. He served in Alaska, Arizona, and California as a college chaplain and high school science teacher. He is now a freelance writer and editor in east Tennessee.

Jim draws his stories from his experiences as a world traveler and from his back-ground as a farmer, sailor, commercial fisherman, bush pilot, professional backpacker, scientist, monk, teacher, historian, and counselor. He uses narrative, poems, and songs to present educational, historical, and humorous stories, with the goal of helping his audiences participate actively in their own enter-tainment.
