She inherited her love of words and books from her writer mother and her appreciation of tall tales from her Father. Her earthy rural grandparents, a multitude of "different" or "possibly strange" cousins, aunts, uncles and friends are the inspiration for many of her "Down Home" stories.

A professional clown, teacher and children's entertainer she may don a costume and include a touch of magic, face painting, balloons, music or puppets in her stories, to the delight of her younger audiences.

A National award winning storyteller she has told stories from backyard picnics up to the "White House." 

Whether sharing folk tales, fables, spiritual, historical, motivational, scary or her heartwarming "Down Home Tales", Judy's warmth and energy shine through, having you laughing one minute and holding back a tear the next.

Judy is a performing member of Young Audiences Of Virginia and was a featured teller for the CORE KNOWLEDGE National Convention. She is the creator of "FUNMATIONS", educational programs presented in schools and libraries. Traveling several states and half way across the world in search of finding and telling the perfect story, Judy is a performing member of the Jonesborough Storytellers Guild and member of NSN (National Storytelling Network).
