Madelyn Rohrer is a 15-year veteran storyteller. She started her storytelling career as a Jonesborough "street walker," aka a storytelling tour guide. It eventually led her off the street and into the Jonesborough Storytellers Guild and onto the stage. She develops all of her own stories and especially enjoys sharing historical stories presented from a unique perspective than what one might find in a history book. In 2014, she started putting her stories in writing. Today she is a published author of two collections of her unique short stories, a novel (with a sequel on the way), a novella, and two children's books as part of a collection she calls "The Critter Series." Book 3 of The Critter Series is scheduled for release in the fall of 2020. Many of her stories have won awards and have been included in writers guild anthologies. Madelyn is also the author of the Jonesborough Storytellers Guild newsletter.
"Telling and writing stories, for me, is a wonderful way to bring history to life, strengthen faith and old-fashioned values, and sprinkle a little humor along the way."
